Write With A Purpose
Never take an author’s lack of published work as a lack of skill. Personally, I have written a handful of books and short stories. None have reached high accolades other than a five-star reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I’ve never entered a book into a contest, don’t know if I ever will. Sure, it could help sales, but I don’t write for recognition. Then why do I write?
I write to teleport myself away from a crappy reality for a few hours and to take as many people with me as possible. I write so reading will feel fast but not rushed, heartbreaking, edge of your seat, funny, witty, romantic, know when to slow down to connect, wet-your-panties sexy, glad-you-brought-the-ebook-on-the-subway naughty, allow you to have a religious experience, frighten you, leaving you to create insatiable dreams of your own after you read the dreaded words ‘The End’.
When I’ve done that to a reader then I’ve honed my skill and found my voice. I found me. That means the world to a person who’s spent the last fifteen years slowly coming out of gaslight fog.
Veronica saved me when I first escaped my abuser. She gave me a safe place to work through my issues without a therapist. She started as a character I roleplayed in a LARP (Live Action Roleplay). Some of the Shadow Faith Series I improvised with my husband, who played Raphe, and some of our friends. My husband won’t read Birth Of A Vixen because it’s actually how we met. He said, “I don’t need to read it. I lived it.” (For all those who’re curious, no, he was not my rebound. Someone else in the book was though.)
Now that Virus Within in days away from launching I feel as though a part of me is being reborn all over again. We’re entering a new chapter in Veronica’s life as I am entering a new phase, too. Veronica and I are coming into our own together. We’re both bursting from the dark into the light. With that said I share this with you.

Can someone have a celebratory drink for me? I hear its bad to toast with water and that’s all I have.
You have your drink? Okay.
Here is to all of you. May you stay healthy, become wealthy, and learn to be wise. May you always have a book on hand. And may you find solace in Veronica like I have for all these years. Salute.
There is an event page on Facebook that will help you keep track of the date. Let me know what kind of drink you had in the comments.
